Position Overview:

We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a hybrid remote Cost Control Specialist. This role is integral to our operations and can be performed from various locations.


Key Responsibilities:

The Cost Control Specialist will be responsible for the creation, modification, and upkeep of Earned Value Reporting utilizing various spreadsheet tools, alongside project scheduling through Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of project expenditures.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Provide training and support to Project Managers in utilizing cost management and scheduling tools.
  • Maintain and update opportunity and contract documentation.
  • Assist Program Managers in effectively communicating with federal clients.
  • Support monthly progress reporting requirements.
  • Generate and review spreadsheets, correspondence, and detailed cost documentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls.
  • Experience in developing, updating, and maintaining Earned Value Management Systems for effective project tracking.
  • Proven expertise as a project controls specialist with proficiency in P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced skills in constructing cost spreadsheets.
  • Aptitude for understanding and presenting technical information while managing multiple projects.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
