About the Role

The Divisional Director of Crisis Management is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the administrative functions and operations of The Neighborhood Center Inc.'s crisis programs. This role reports directly to the Director of Program Operations and works closely with program directors to ensure the efficient delivery of services and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program-level leadership, training, supervision, evaluation, and professional development opportunities for program directors and staff.
  • Supervise the planning, execution, evaluation, and compliance of all crisis services/programs, ensuring the utilization of best practices and research evidence-based practices.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to ensure programs utilize established/effective interventions to achieve defined, meaningful clinical outcomes.
  • Utilize data to inform planning, decision making, service delivery/accessibility, and overall program management.
  • Participate in state/federal/audit/recertification processes and ensure program improvement plans are completed and adhered to.
  • Ensure program compliance and enforce standards, including HIPAA regulations and confidentiality, in accordance with the New York State Office of Mental Health and applicable Department of Health regulations.
  • Ensure that internal/external reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Network and cultivate working relationships with community agencies; attend community meetings to ensure agency exposure and involvement.
  • Ensure that the physical plant in which programs occur is maintained in a safe, healthy, orderly, and attractive manner conducive to providing enriching experiences.
  • Model and positively interpret agency objectives, policies, and directives, ensuring completion of evaluations for all staff within the applicable departments.
  • Recommend to the Executive Director applications for hire, promotions, and terminations.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times and adhere to the policies and procedures of The Neighborhood Center Inc.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is essential; employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time, and prepared to start working.
  • Availability to work occasional evening and weekend hours as assigned, based on the needs of the crisis programs.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with program designs and development, strategic planning and execution, and change management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with multiple program leadership.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure.
  • Knowledge and experience within the Department of Health, Medicaid/Medicare, Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, and the Office of Mental Health regulations.
  • Experience in program and procedure analysis and developing and implementing strategies, procedures, and policy for mental health and substance abuse programs and services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to various audiences.
  • Must be able to work in the office, engaging with the community, meeting with stakeholders, and supporting crisis programs; possibility of hybrid schedule.
  • A valid NY Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or Management or a closely related Human Service field required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years supervisory and administrative experience consistent with the position's scope and size of the agency, preferably in the non-profit sector required.
