Outside Parts Sales Representative

The Outside Parts Sales Representative - Business Development is responsible for driving parts business growth while continuously identifying and developing new business opportunities through existing accounts and prospective new accounts for Truck Country.
Key Responsibilities- Frequent local travel in assigned territory to make sales calls to commercial fleets, repair facilities, and municipalities to promote and sell parts and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and current customers to increase sales and revenue.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided by Truck Country to effectively communicate with customers and meet their needs.
- Actively seek and identify prospective new customers through cold calling and other sales strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on market and industry trends, as well as competition and competitive products, to communicate valuable insights to management.
- Develop sales plans with management and regularly review sales plan progress to ensure personal and departmental goals are achieved.
- Timely completion and submission of daily customer visit logs to track sales activities and customer interactions.
- Maintain customer contact information and communications using the Company's CRM system.
- Review sales activities, new sales opportunities, and sales objectives with management to ensure alignment and goal achievement.
- Assist with customer parts returns, issues, and disputes as requested.
- Participate in job-related training and development to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address customer needs and provide seamless service.
- Forward any possible leads for sales or service to the appropriate person or department.
- Help customers with warranty problems when applicable, in accordance with Truck Country's policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy-duty truck parts or service.
- Working knowledge of trucks, diesel engines, air brakes, HD transmission, axle, and driveline.
- Superior selling skills based on probing to uncover customer needs.
- Good customer service, communication, telephone, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, driven individual.
