Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Development Events will oversee the planning and execution of high-quality engagement and cultivation experiences for prospective and current supporters, Board Members, community partners, volunteers, and other development stakeholders across the KIPP Texas network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and execute engagement opportunities through regional events in Houston, including small donor engagement events for fundraising, cultivation, or stewardship.
  • Lend project management support to event teammates across regions.
  • Manage a diverse set of talent and voices from ambassadors, teachers, students, alumni, and other stakeholders for development fundraising purposes.
  • Work with the Development fundraising team, event Co-Chairs, and/or committees to ensure that financial goals are reached through pledges, direct donations, table sales, etc.
  • Manage all aspects of events, including negotiating contracts with vendors, producing the program and donor experience, managing the event budget, marketing collateral, stakeholder management, etc.
  • Collaborate with other departments, Development team members, and KIPP Texas leadership team to produce event-related outcomes, such as tracking and reconciling pledged gift amounts and expenses with accounts receivable, securing donations for event-specific fundraising activities, creating and managing the design and distribution of event promotional materials.

  • Adept at building both internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to work closely with regional Directors of Development and Senior Development Managers to coordinate and provide local and statewide donor engagement support through fundraising events.
