Senior Event Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Events Manager to join our team at Marriott. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing complex events, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate event documentation and collaborate with sales, property departments, and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the event lifecycle.
- Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups, identifying operational challenges and developing alternative solutions.
- Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs, overseeing group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups.
- Conduct pre- and post-event meetings to review and communicate group needs and feedback, adhering to all standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process when necessary, acting as a liaison between field sales and customers throughout the event process.
- Manage revenue and profitability associated with events, forecasting group sleeping rooms and event revenue, and reviewing billing and payments with clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, handling guest problems and complaints, and making presence known to customers at all times during the event process.
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in event management or a related field.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; no work experience required.
Marriott offers a competitive salary range of $79,000 to $102,000 annually, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off, life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account, flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, and other life and work wellness benefits.
