Job Description:

As a key member of the Cynet Systems team, the Credit Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring customer terms and compliance, as well as collecting delinquent accounts and negotiating payment schedules as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Risk Management: Monitor customer terms and compliance, ensuring that all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
  • Account Collections: Collect delinquent accounts and negotiate payment schedules as required, maintaining effective communication with local sales representatives, Support Office third-party collections, and customers.
  • Credit Approval and Limitation: Assist the Credit Manager with the management and investigation of credit risks, approve new lines of credit, and extend credit limits as necessary.
  • Credit Issue Resolution: Resolve moderately complex credit issues, with the ability to seek assistance on highly sensitive accounts as needed.
  • Customer Credit Analysis: Analyze and suggest credit terms for new street customer accounts, ensuring proper and complete documentation is obtained.
  • Accounts Receivable Monitoring: Monitor open accounts receivable for term compliance, ensuring that skips, short pays, credit memos, and unapplied cash are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Payment Plan Implementation: Implement and create amicable, effective payment plans on past-due accounts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist the Credit Manager in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  • UCC Filings: Assist the Credit Manager with UCC filings as necessary.
  • Customer Credit Issue Coordination: Coordinate collections and customer credit issues/resolutions with the Sales Department and customers.
  • Uncollectible Accounts: Assist the Credit Manager in assigning and providing documentation of uncollectible accounts to the centralized third-party collections group at the Support Office, recommending customer accounts for write-off.
  • Credit Reporting: Assist with credit reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in credit/accounts receivable is required, with food service or similar distribution experience being preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Be detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
  • Computer Applications: Be proficient in using computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Financial Analysis: Possess good financial analysis skills.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with individuals at all levels within Cynet Systems and our customers.
