We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Processing Specialist to join our team at Copper State Credit Union. As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will play a critical role in the preparation and processing of consumer loans, ensuring timely and accurate completion of loan files.
Key Responsibilities- Loan Preparation: Prepare all necessary documents for closing consumer loans, including loan applications, credit reports, and other required documents.
- Closing Coordination: Coordinate closings with members, loan sales specialists, and branch employees, ensuring timely completion of loan files and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Loan Processing: Process consumer loan applications in a timely manner, utilizing Docusign software to facilitate electronic signatures and document exchange.
- File Management: Set up files and obtain required documents to complete loan files, including payoffs, verifications of income, and purchase orders.
- Underwriting and Post-Closing: Satisfy underwriting and post-closing conditions, ensuring compliance with credit union standards and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Analytics: Produce weekly and monthly reports as required by management, providing insights into loan processing trends and areas for improvement.
- Education: Equivalent to a four-year high school education or general education degree (GED), with some post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience: Two to three years of related experience in loan processing or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Intermediate mathematical skills required, with experience with consumer loan software programs for document processing and loan origination.
