The anticipated salary range for this position is between $208,000.00 and $240,000.00. The specific salary offered will depend on the applicant's qualifications, experience, and an analysis of current market compensation for similar roles. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. Alongside competitive cash compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package to our employees.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Credit Risk Strategist will take charge of the onboarding and income verification processes for our Unsecured Personal Loans product. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including Marketing, Product Development, Technology, Operations, and Compliance, to establish new strategies and ensure comprehensive internal controls documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the personal loan sector, with expertise in offer eligibility, credit decision-making, verifications, control frameworks, business execution, and monitoring. They will engage confidently with both internal teams and external regulatory bodies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee credit administration tasks, including process maintenance, audit requests, regulatory examinations, complaint investigations, and vendor coordination.
  • Continuously enhance the credit program and income verification processes through strategic improvements, exploring alternative solutions, and implementing key enhancements to meet credit risk objectives.
  • Manage operational risks in credit underwriting by establishing effective policies and procedures and maintaining ongoing interactions with all vendors involved in the credit risk program.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure seamless execution and compliance with all key control requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and regulations for all assigned responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quantitative disciplines.
  • Over 10 years of experience in consumer credit risk or a similar quantitative role, preferably in Unsecured Personal Loans.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • In-depth knowledge of consumer credit risk management practices and data utilization.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal leaders and external regulators.
