Job Description:

As a key member of the Cynet Systems team, the Credit Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's credit management processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor customer terms and compliance, responsible for credit hold/release, and assist the Credit Manager with management/investigation of credit risks.
  • Account Collections: Collect delinquent accounts, negotiate payment schedules as required, and maintain collection communications with local sales representatives, Support Office third-party collections, and customers.
  • Credit Approval and Limitation: Assist the Credit Manager with approval of new lines of credit and/or the extension of credit and limits.
  • Credit Issue Resolution: Resolve moderately complex credit issues but may need assistance on highly sensitive accounts.
  • Credit Term Analysis: Analyze and suggest credit terms for new street customer accounts and ensure proper and complete documentation is obtained.
  • Account Monitoring: Monitor open accounts receivable for term compliance, ensures skips, short pays, credit memos, unapplied cash is addressed timely.
  • Payment Plan Implementation: Implement and where necessary create amicable, effective payment plans on past due accounts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist the Credit Manager to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley controls.
  • UCC Filings: Assist the Credit Manager with UCC filings, when necessary.
  • Collections and Customer Credit Issues: Coordinate collections/customer credit issues/resolutions with the Sales Department and/or customer.
  • Uncollectible Accounts: Assist the Credit Manager to assign and provide documentation of uncollectible accounts to the centralized third-party collections group at the Support Office; recommend customer accounts for write-off.
  • Credit Reporting: Assist with Credit reporting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years Credit/Accounts Receivable experience required. Food service or similar distribution experience is also preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and be detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines. Must be able to use computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good financial analysis skills required. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills for working cooperatively with individuals at all levels both within Cynet Systems as well as with our customers.
