Position Overview

The Senior Director of Meat Industry Promotions is tasked with spearheading the formulation and implementation of strategic marketing plans aimed at boosting sales, enhancing brand visibility, and cultivating customer loyalty within both B2B and D2C sectors across diverse channels. This role demands extensive knowledge of the food sector, particularly in understanding market dynamics, digital marketing, ecommerce, paid media, and sales support content tailored for BBQ aficionados, butcher shops, meat markets, and meat processors of all scales.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership:

  • Design and execute comprehensive B2B marketing strategies to expand market presence, elevate brand recognition, and drive sales of PS Seasoning products within the meat sector.
  • Formulate and implement marketing strategies for Pro Smoker products, encompassing both consumer and commercial meat smokers, dry agers, and related accessories.
  • Devise and implement retail sales and marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, market penetration, and sales growth across various platforms, including the company website, Amazon, and Webstaurant.
  • Identify significant market opportunities and create actionable plans to leverage them, including product launches, promotional initiatives, and seasonal marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to guide strategic marketing decisions.
  • Develop a sales enablement marketing strategy and content plan in collaboration with the sales team to enhance customer experience and drive sales efforts.
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including agency collaboration, paid media planning and execution, paid search, and search engine optimization.
  • Oversee email and print marketing campaigns to foster customer engagement and retention.
  • Plan and implement promotional activities, social media content marketing, and ambassador programs.
  • Coordinate paid sponsorships and chef collaborations to bolster brand credibility and customer product knowledge.
  • Organize and engage in trade exhibitions to showcase products, drive sales, and build industry connections.
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to integrate consumer insights into product development and marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with sales, product development, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure cohesive marketing initiatives and product availability.

Brand Management:

  • Oversee the positioning, messaging, and branding of the company's offerings to ensure consistency with corporate objectives.
  • Maintain brand guidelines that reflect the company's ethos and resonate with target demographics.
  • Supervise the development and execution of brand positioning and messaging across pertinent channels.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align marketing strategies with product offerings.

Budget Management:

  • Formulate and manage the marketing budget, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and financial targets.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize performance and budget utilization.
  • Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of marketing expenditures and return on investment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity within the meat industry or a closely related food sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the food industry, including market trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective B2B and D2C marketing strategies.
  • Expertise in paid media planning and execution, paid search, and SEO.
  • Proven experience in ecommerce.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in managing marketing budgets.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and data analytics platforms; experience with Shopify management is a plus.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A blend of creativity and strong execution capabilities.
