Join Our Team as a Security Surveillance Specialist:

Overview:

As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our retail environments by monitoring for theft and ensuring a safe atmosphere for both guests and employees.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Surveillance Operations:
  • Conduct thorough surveillance in retail areas to prevent theft.
  • Perform regular patrols to identify suspicious activities.
  • Document incidents with precise and detailed reports.
  • Respond promptly to reports of potential theft from team members.
  • Utilize CCTV systems to monitor the premises effectively.
  • Engage with individuals suspected of theft and detain them as necessary.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement for arrests and legal proceedings.
  1. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Profit Protection and Retail teams to investigate theft and related issues.
  • Provide undercover surveillance while maintaining a discreet presence.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Participate in training sessions from the security team and other relevant sources.
  • Stay updated with best practices and legal regulations through ongoing training.
  1. Health and Safety:
  • Administer CPR, basic First Aid, and AED assistance to guests and staff when required.
  • Record and report near-miss incidents in our reporting system.
  • Complete the essential Park Ranger training prior to engaging in Loss Prevention duties.
  • Maintain accurate statistics on detentions, recoveries, and incident reports.

All employees are responsible for their safety and that of their colleagues and guests, adhering to company policies and legal requirements. It is crucial to follow safe working procedures and report any incidents to management for appropriate action.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Exceptional communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong reasoning and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in a theme park or similar environment is advantageous.
  • The capability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • A current CA Guard Card or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • A valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification or the ability to secure one before starting.
