Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our team at Volkswagen of Duluth. As a Sales Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers have a high-quality vehicle purchasing experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction
    • Approach and assist new customers to understand their needs and preferences
    • Prospect for new customers and update our customer relationship management system
    • Determine the needs of the customer by listening and asking questions
  • Sales and Closing
    • Perform walk-arounds with customers to demonstrate features of suitable automobiles
    • Effectively close automotive sales and ensure customers understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork
  • Follow-up and Customer Service
    • Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat business and referrals
    • Follow-up with customers' questions or concerns after the vehicle purchase process
  • Professional Development
    • Understand and adhere to Volkswagen of Duluth's Auto Privacy and Information Security Policies
    • Complete all training and attend all sales meetings
    • Maintain monthly sales goal requirements and be accountable to departmental performance standards
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Dependable with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Ability to work Saturdays, late shifts, and over 40 hours per week
  • Ability to perform under pressure
