We are currently in search of a full-time Healthcare Assistant/Scribe for a Monday to Friday position. Our practice specializes in comprehensive ENT medical and surgical services, ensuring that patient care remains our highest priority. Our integrated approach allows us to deliver both diagnostic and rehabilitative services, ensuring our patients receive all-encompassing support.

Position Summary:

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Healthcare Assistant/Scribe who is adept at in-office procedures, possesses a strong grasp of medical terminology, and has excellent typing skills for scribing. The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, and capable of managing a high volume of patient interactions, demonstrating a willingness to learn about the ENT, Allergy, and Audiology fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to patient inquiries
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Securing necessary authorizations
  • Coordinating diagnostic tests and surgical procedures
  • Preparing examination rooms
  • Assisting physicians during examinations
  • Processing prescription requests
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of instruments
  • Performing duties as a Medical Scribe

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant and Medical Scribe.
  • Current certification or willingness to complete in-house training and state certification.
  • Comfortable assisting with surgical tasks.
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is an advantage.
  • CCMA/RMA certification preferred.
