Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans effectively.
- Document and communicate patient conditions accurately.
- Evaluate and update care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders diligently.

- Identify educational needs of patients and their families, considering cultural and special concerns.
- Provide appropriate teaching and educational materials.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
- Completion of ONS Chemo/Bio course within one year of employment if applicable.
- ACLS certification required for Emergency Department roles.
- PALS certification required for Emergency Department roles involving pediatric care.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required for dedicated trauma centers.
- Attendance in Vascular Access Registered Nurse (VARN) program and obtaining relevant certification required for specific roles.
Work Environment:
- Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to function effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Experience:
- Minimum one year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required.
- Consideration will be given to licensed military RN experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients.
- Requires prolonged standing and walking.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids is expected.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adherence to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment as required.
