Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Specialist to provide expertise and drive results. Our team is committed to supporting one another and we are looking for an exceptional individual who shares our passion for enhancing patient experiences.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise and timely laboratory analyses by evaluating proficiency testing samples according to established protocols.
- Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient results.
- Execute urgent procedures within designated turnaround timeframes.
- Utilize sound judgment and independent thinking in interpreting patient results.
- Review pending logs and result logs; address any outstanding workload or communicate with staff.
- Implement quality control measures as per established protocols and manage critical laboratory specimens/test results.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate Degree is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- At least one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist is preferred.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is preferred.
