Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Wellness Specialist to join our team at Education & Training Resources LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our student health services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student medical records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist students with completing medical insurance documents and ensure timely submission of required paperwork.
  • Monitor and follow up on missed appointments, updating records as necessary.
  • Process purchase requisitions for medical supplies and vendor payments, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Enter CA-1 data into the Safety Health Information Management System (SHIMS), maintaining accurate and reliable records.
  • Maintain a log of medically separated students, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the center to achieve OMS goals and ensure strict adherence to the Zero Tolerance Policy.
  • Promote a positive work environment, demonstrating career success standards and core values.
  • Model appropriate behaviors, mentor students, and monitor both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of secretarial experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws regulating patient privacy (HIPAA).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Meticulous documentation/recording skills and attention to detail; excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to effectively operate office equipment.
