Position Overview:

The Breast Imaging Specialist II plays a vital role in the Diagnostic Imaging department, focusing on the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

Key Details:
  • Location: Elmhurst Center for Health
  • Employment Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week
  • Work Schedule: Weekdays from 3 PM to 7 PM, with every fourth Saturday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Floating Opportunities: Potential to cover shifts at various off-site locations
  • No On-Call or Holiday Shifts Required
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Compliance with ACR/MQSA requirements
  • ARRT(R)(M) certification or eligibility
  • IEMA licensure
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or higher
Responsibilities:

Under general supervision and adhering to established protocols, the Breast Imaging Specialist II is responsible for:

  • Operating radiology equipment to capture routine images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Positioning patients and adjusting x-ray equipment settings for optimal examination results.
  • Evaluating image quality and maintaining quality assurance records.
  • Performing necessary administrative tasks related to the imaging process.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication and addressing patient concerns to foster trust.
