Position Summary

VSolvit is in search of a SharePoint Engineer at the Mid to Senior level to provide support for our DISA Client. Our organization delivers dependable engineering and analytical services, focusing on Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Our mission is to facilitate a variety of applications, collaborative efforts, business intelligence, and workflow solutions. The team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of multiple SharePoint and CRM instances, as well as evaluating and optimizing existing content and customizations for future migrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tier 3 technical assistance for on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.
  • Provide on-call support for critical incidents and outages outside of standard working hours as required.
  • Manage and configure IIS and SharePoint infrastructure.
  • Assist in troubleshooting systems, including but not limited to OS, SQL, networking, and firewall components, to ensure a fully operational SharePoint/CRM environment.
  • Enhance and ensure security compliance of all servers by:
  1. Regularly applying patches.
  2. Implementing STIGs as necessary and validating updates when new STIGs are released.
  3. Collaborating with the SharePoint Architect to ensure infrastructure designs comply with security requirements.
  4. Addressing IAVA findings for SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.
Install, configure, and maintain on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.Support upgrades and migrations for SharePoint and CRM systems.Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting.Manage Change Requests, Incidents, and Work Orders in ServiceNow as needed.Participate in Change Board meetings as required.Generate ad-hoc infrastructure-related reports as necessary.Maintain and review internal engineering documentation periodically.Track application-level certificates for all SharePoint and CRM farms.Collaborate with the development team to deploy solutions to on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/system engineering.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint versions 2013, 2016, and 2019.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and CRM systems.
  • General experience with CRM/platform/server configurations.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, group policy, LAN/WAN, IP addressing, and SQL server administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting various technical issues related to SharePoint.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification is required.
  • Relevant Microsoft or FedVTE certifications focused on Server OS, SharePoint, or CRM.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through additional certifications.
  • Applicants must undergo a government background investigation and meet eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
  • Experience with migration tools such as AvePoint DocAve.
  • Familiarity with O365 services and migrations.
  • Possession of Microsoft certifications.
  • Ability to support a Dynamics Office 365 environment.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Cybersecurity technical engineering support for SharePoint.
  • SQL Server experience is highly preferred.
