Position Summary

VSolvit is in search of a SharePoint Engineer at the Mid to Senior level to provide essential support for our DISA Client in Crystal City, Virginia. Our firm delivers dependable Engineering and Analytical support services, specializing in Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. We assist our clients in hosting a range of mission applications, collaboration tools, business intelligence, and workflow solutions. Our dedicated team is responsible for operating, maintaining, integrating, and upgrading multiple SharePoint and CRM instances, while also evaluating and optimizing existing content and customizations for future migrations.

Role Responsibilities

As a SharePoint Engineer at the Mid to Senior level, you will leverage advanced SharePoint technologies to provide optimal solutions for our clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, configuring systems, performing upgrades, and implementing necessary changes to ensure the stability of the SharePoint and CRM environments. An Interim Secret Clearance is required. This role is Hybrid, requiring remote work with occasional on-site presence as needed.

Additional expectations include adhering to standard working hours, meeting project deadlines, following company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, maintaining daily communication with supervisors and senior engineers, and focusing on assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tier 3 technical support for on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.
  • Provide on-call support for critical incidents and outages outside standard work hours as necessary.
  • Manage and configure IIS and SharePoint infrastructure.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for systems including OS, SQL, Trellix (HBSS), networking, and firewall components to ensure a fully operational SharePoint/CRM farm.
  • Enhance and maintain security compliance of all servers by:
  1. Regularly applying patches
  2. Implementing STIGS as required (ensuring STIG checklists are current and validating new releases by DISA for SharePoint systems).
  3. Collaborating with the SharePoint Architect to ensure enterprise infrastructure designs meet DOD security standards.
  4. Addressing IAVA findings for SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.
Install, configure, and maintain on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.Assist with upgrades and migrations for SharePoint and CRM.Contribute to Weekly and Monthly Reports.Manage Change Requests, Incidents, and Work Orders in ServiceNow (SNOW) as needed and collaborate with Service Partners for resolution.Participate in Change Board meetings as required.Generate ADHOC infrastructure-related reports as necessary.Conduct periodic reviews of internal Engineering assets, such as master server lists and script repositories.Maintain supporting infrastructure documentation.Track application-level certificates for all SharePoint and CRM farms.Collaborate with the custom development team to deploy solutions to on-premise SharePoint and CRM farms.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/system engineering.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint versions 2013, 2016, and 2019.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and CRM systems.
  • General experience with CRM/Platform/Server administration.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, group policy, LAN/WAN, IP addressing, and SQL server administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting various technical issues related to SharePoint or its dependencies.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Microsoft or FedVTE certification focused on Server OS, SharePoint, or CRM.
  • A commitment to pursuing additional certifications for professional development.
  • Applicants selected will undergo a government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
  • Experience with Migration Tools such as AvePoint DocAve, Fly.
  • Experience with O365 services and migrations.
  • Possession of Microsoft certifications.
  • Ability to support a Dynamics Office 365 environment (on-premise).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) and disaster recovery efforts for IT.
  • Cyber Security Technical Engineering Support for SharePoint.
  • SQL Server Experience Highly Preferred.
