Position Overview:

DT Professional Services is in search of a Mid to Senior Level SharePoint Solutions Engineer to provide support for our clients. We specialize in delivering dependable engineering and analytical support services, focusing on Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Our mission is to facilitate a range of applications, enhance collaboration, drive business intelligence, and streamline workflows. Our dedicated team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of various SharePoint and CRM environments. We conduct thorough assessments of existing content and customizations within SharePoint production farms, aiming for a seamless transition to next-generation platforms.

As a SharePoint Solutions Engineer, you will leverage advanced SharePoint technologies to craft optimal solutions for our clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, configuring systems, executing upgrades, and implementing necessary changes to ensure the smooth operation of SharePoint and CRM environments. An Interim Secret Clearance is a prerequisite for this role. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring occasional on-site presence as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tier 3 technical support for on-premise SharePoint and CRM systems.
  • Provide on-call assistance for critical incidents and outages beyond standard working hours.
  • Manage and configure IIS and SharePoint infrastructure.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts across various systems, including OS, SQL, networking, and firewall components.
  • Ensure security compliance of all servers through regular patching and STIG application.
  • Collaborate with the SharePoint Architect to align enterprise infrastructure designs with security requirements.
  • Address IAVA findings related to SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.
  • Install, configure, and maintain on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.
  • Assist with upgrades and migrations for SharePoint and CRM systems.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Manage change requests, incidents, and work orders using ServiceNow.
  • Participate in Change Board meetings as required.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports related to SharePoint and CRM infrastructure.
  • Maintain and review internal engineering documentation regularly.
  • Track application-level certificates for all SharePoint and CRM farms.
  • Collaborate with the development team to deploy solutions to on-premise environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active DoD issued Secret Clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Experience in infrastructure/system engineering.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint versions 2013, 2016, and 2019.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and CRM systems.
  • General experience with CRM and server configurations.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, group policy, LAN/WAN, IP addresses, and SQL server administration.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills related to SharePoint and its dependencies.
  • Relevant Microsoft or FedVTE certifications.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through additional certifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of working independently.
  • Eligibility for government background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
  • Experience with migration tools such as AvePoint DocAve and Fly.
  • Familiarity with O365 services and migrations.
  • Acquired Microsoft certifications.
  • Ability to support Dynamics Office 365 environments.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk.
  • Involvement in disaster recovery initiatives for IT.
  • Cybersecurity technical engineering support for SharePoint.
  • Preferred experience with SQL Server.
