Youth Sports Program Coordinator and Mentor

Schedule: Part-time, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday - 1:30 am - 5:30 pm, and Wednesday, 11:30 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Various schools within the Twin River Unified School District
Expected Hourly Rate: $19 per hour

ABOUT YOU
  • Possess a background in sports and a strong enthusiasm for physical activity.
  • Capably manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal supervision.
  • Establish connections with students and create positive learning experiences.
  • Pay close attention to the needs of students and adapt activities as necessary.
  • Ensure activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently within designated timeframes.
  • Provide clear instructions to students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Exhibit the ability to improvise, adapt, and take initiative while being attentive to student needs.
  • Demonstrate approachability, empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with children.
  • Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and complete a Live-Scan background check and TB screening.
  • 1-2 years of experience in education, coaching, child development, or similar child-focused roles is strongly preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to adhere to COVID-19 protocols as outlined by the school.
Candidates must be able to engage in the following activities with or without an accommodation:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional running and other physically demanding activities.
  • Ability to navigate safely on uneven or irregular terrain regularly.
