Job Summary

The Senior Systems Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical assistance to users of computer systems, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues for clients through various communication methods.

This role involves offering technical and application support and maintenance; utilizing diverse tools to troubleshoot, repair, and verify configurations of servers and applications.

The Senior Systems Support Analyst adheres to operational policies and procedures, ensuring daily updates to assigned service tickets. This position acts as a bridge between various technology teams, including biomed, neurologists, and IT, and the operations team. There may be occasions requiring work during nights, weekends, holidays, and participation in on-call rotations.

Compensation is influenced by various factors, including knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.

Experience

  • Required: A minimum of five years in an IT environment, with experience in supporting standard end-user computing devices within a corporate setting; deploying and maintaining end-user computing hardware; familiarity with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networking infrastructure; experience in recommending hardware/software and application purchases, along with documenting solutions for current and future reference.
  • Preferred: Experience in a healthcare IT environment and familiarity with ITIL v3 foundations.
Education

  • Required: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline, or a combination of relevant experience and education may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Specialized Skills

  • Required: Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, Visio, and Project. Knowledge of Data & Voice Network technology, general Windows systems administration, mobile device management, and basic scripting skills. A strong understanding of medical IT practices and procedures. Familiarity with EEG software such as Nihon Kohden Neuroworkbench, Cadwell Arc, Cadwell Cascade Pro, Persyst Advanced Review, and Compumedics Neuroscan Curry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and project management capabilities. Strong expertise in installing/configuring network devices, applications, and application distribution systems, as well as system security compliance, including virus protection and adherence to network standards. Ability to utilize enterprise tools, configure and install new PCs, thin clients, laptops, tablets, MAC systems, portable phones, and PDAs, and physically connect PCs to networks, install and maintain peripheral equipment like printers, modems, and scanners. Must be capable of multitasking and working with minimal supervision. Ability to set goals and evaluate results according to the highest standards; demonstrate care with sensitivity and respect; foster innovation through the development of new ideas and technologies; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.
Licensure

  • Required: ITIL Certification, Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications.
