Principal Analyst

Principal Analyst - Billing IT Configuration, The United Illuminating Company, Orange, CT:

As a subject-matter expert within Billing area, the Principal Analyst – Billing Configuration will provide research and analysis of billing area requests to define and document business requirements, develop solutions employing technology, and to develop and implement billing configuration models on behalf of the company.

Develop and implement solutions and/or Billing Configuration changes to meet new and ongoing requirements from Billing, Bill Printing, Pricing, and Rate and Regulatory departments.

Perform system administration tasks such as application security, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, debugging, reporting, issue resolution with IT and/or system vendors, and compliance with audit and regulatory controls.

Act as a liaison with business users, vendors, and IT to resolve systems/application needs and issues; assist in assessing impacts of any application or system changes on business operations and other applications and systems; and anticipate business/regulatory needs and develop standards, process improvements, and documentation for billing.

Ensure that business requirements of proposed solutions are incorporated into design specifications. Create testing strategies for proposed solutions and coordinate resources to plan and execute user acceptance testing.

Research business areas' current systems/applications and processes to identify potential risks and opportunity to promote process improvements based on best business practices and using functionality within business systems.

Act as a mentor to junior analysts.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $121, 867 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate work experience with business systems in an SAP ISU billing environment.

Must have 5 years of experience with SAP ISU billing system administration, operations, and analysis.

Must have 5 years of experience in data retrieval and reporting through SAP ISU billing system software.

Must have 5 years of experience with SAP.

Must have 2 years of experience leading the introduction, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP ISU billing systems, including troubleshooting.
