Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you will have the chance to perform service tasks according to established protocols and in line with ABB's quality and safety standards. Each day, you will provide exceptional customer service by planning and executing service tasks based on client requirements and expectations. You will also demonstrate your expertise by ensuring customer loyalty through effective communication regarding service timelines and expectations. This is a fully remote role, contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division in the United States. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with clients (while on-site) to identify areas for operational improvement and resolve challenges.
• Conducting field service activities, diagnosing technical problems, and performing assessments through remote or on-site engagement in service categories and products for which you are certified.
• Compiling lists of materials required for service tasks and ensuring that all supplies, components, and equipment are available and meet quality standards for service operations.
• Serving as a mentor when necessary, for field service associates and clients.
Qualifications for the role
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent military technical training with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a unique combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated achievements will be considered.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB 800xA Distributed Control System is advantageous. NOTE: Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided to instill confidence in delivering exceptional field service support.
- Willingness to undertake overnight travel of 80% is required.
- Experience in process automation is essential. Familiarity with systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal.
- Fluency in English and possession of a valid driver's license are mandatory.
- Candidates must already possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
