This role involves providing essential maintenance and repair services on ASCO equipment at customer locations. The successful candidate will work independently in the field with minimal supervision and will demonstrate expertise across all brands of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on ATS and Power Control Systems (PCS).
  • Perform complete PCS startups on projects as the lead technician.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ASCO communication products.
  • Manage complex modifications and startups, often requiring travel for extended periods.
A Typical Day May Include:
  • Handling technical tasks without onsite support.
  • Maintaining a valid passport for international travel.
  • Working away from home for up to three consecutive weeks.
  • Collaborating with the local district manager when not on assignment.
Essential Functions:
  • Perform all service functions on ASCO ATS product lines and other manufacturers' ATS.
  • Interface and integrate ATS with new PCS systems.
  • Accurately document PCS drawings during startup.
  • Respond to and resolve PCS trouble calls effectively.
Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Develop Methods of Procedure (MOP) for ATS and PCS service activities.
  • Mentor and qualify Field Service Representatives in ATS, PCS, and communication product skills.
  • Lead PCS commissioning projects and manage day-to-day operations on-site.
Service Administration:
  • Complete maintenance reports and maintain parts inventory.
  • Identify service opportunities and coordinate emergency service requests.
Working Conditions:
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Travel outside of assigned territory may be required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Qualifications:
  • Technical School Certification or related experience in ATS, PCS, or low/medium voltage power applications.
  • Ability to read electrical schematic drawings and one-line diagrams.
  • Proficient in using test equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ASCO business systems.
Physical Requirements:

The role requires regular standing, walking, and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Candidates must be able to work in various environments and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
