Overview:

At Schneider Electric, we believe that exceptional individuals drive our success. As a Technical Field Service Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering preventative maintenance and repair services on ASCO equipment at customer locations. Operating independently with minimal supervision, you will demonstrate expertise across all brands of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and lead PCS startups on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Control Systems (PCS), and communication products.
  • Perform all service functions including startup, troubleshooting, and modifications on ASCO ATS product lines and other manufacturers' equipment.
  • Interface with new PCS systems and ensure accurate markups of PCS drawings during startup.
  • Respond to and resolve PCS trouble calls efficiently.
  • Lead commissioning projects and manage on-site operations, collaborating with contractors and end users.

Daily Activities:
  • Handle complex jobs independently without onsite support.
  • Maintain a valid passport and be prepared for international travel as required.
  • Work away from home for extended periods, including weekends, on a rotational basis.
  • Complete service reports and maintain inventory of parts and tools.

Qualifications:
  • Technical School Certification or relevant experience in Automatic Transfer Switches and Power Control Systems.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematic drawings and one-line diagrams.
  • Ability to use test equipment for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ASCO business systems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work in various environments.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and equipment.
