Vimeo is on the lookout for a Senior Program Manager to become a vital part of our Web Solutions team. This position will play a key role in steering intricate technical projects, facilitating collaboration among diverse teams, and guaranteeing the successful execution of our web initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, outstanding leadership capabilities, and the proficiency to navigate multifaceted, cross-departmental landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct complex technical projects and initiatives for the Web Solutions team, collaborating closely with Engineering, Marketing, Design, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as a bridge between the Web Solutions team and other Engineering divisions, adeptly communicating requirements, priorities, and technical specifications.
  • Engage in technical discussions and decision-making processes, offering guidance independently of engineering managers.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate technical challenges across various web technologies.
  • Champion Agile methodologies, including the facilitation of effective Scrum sprints and all related ceremonies.
  • Empower the marketing team to autonomously create pages within our CMS by developing training programs, crafting thorough documentation, and establishing best practices.
  • Align team goals with broader organizational objectives, ensuring our web development activities support Vimeo's overarching strategy.
  • Manage project dependencies, risks, and timelines to ensure the successful execution of web development initiatives.
  • Encourage collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Work effectively with external partners, managing relationships and integrating their contributions into our projects.
  • Contribute to the long-term technical strategy and roadmap planning for the Web Solutions team.
  • Proactively identify and implement process enhancements to boost team efficiency and productivity.
  • Define and monitor relevant KPIs for projects and team performance, generating actionable progress reports for various stakeholders.
  • Create and manage intricate project structures within Jira, ensuring effective project tracking and oversight.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, ideally in web development or a related domain.
  • Strong technical background as a former developer; experience in front-end or full-stack development is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of web technologies, best practices, and current trends.
  • Proficiency in system architecture and design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across various web technologies.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms; experience with specific platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with Developer Experience (DX) platforms; familiarity with relevant tools is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience applying Agile principles and facilitating effective Scrum sprints.
  • Strategic thinking skills to align team objectives with broader organizational goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools, particularly Jira, including the ability to create and manage complex project structures.
  • Exceptional skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and technical writing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments, manage complex cross-functional initiatives, and work with external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and resolve issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation in technical projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
Compensation:
The targeted base salary range for this position is $110,700.00 to $169,500.00.
