The Lead Operations Strategist is accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency within our dynamic, high-output manufacturing sector.
This role encompasses the organization and oversight of manufacturing processes across various shifts, including providing leadership, guidance, and facilitation to Production Supervisors and Teams, while closely collaborating with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Warehousing to meet operational objectives.
Shift and Schedule:
This position operates on the 1st Shift, with a requirement for flexibility to accommodate overtime and weekend work as needed.
Compensation:
This is a salaried, exempt role compensated on a biweekly basis. Salary is adaptable and based on the candidate's experience level.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a proactive safety culture aiming for zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety training and programs.
Oversee all departmental activities to guarantee the timely execution of the production schedule, ensuring production and service targets are met through effective daily management.
Ensure departmental quality standards are upheld to maintain food safety and product integrity.Establish a foundation for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring adherence to standardized processes, implementing necessary adjustments, and maintaining compliance with safety and 5-S protocols.
Develop a roadmap to advance the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program based on the KDP framework.Assess and determine the optimal staffing model for line operations, providing effective cross-training and development opportunities for a versatile workforce.
Encourage team engagement and morale in alignment with KDP values, fostering enthusiasm, commitment, and performance in pursuit of high-performance teams.
Demonstrate a proven history of successful continuous improvement initiatives and outcomes, with a focus on lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies. Lead and support Focused Improvement events to ensure that expected Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is achieved or surpassed.
Manage site incident responses (with assistance from Corporate QEHS) concerning food safety, environmental compliance, and safety issues. Examples include FDA recalls and OSHA notifications.
Communicate objectives and goals clearly, enforce company policies, provide coaching, administer discipline, and maintain positive employee relations. Cultivate talent through active development of direct reports.
Exhibit strong organizational skills, high energy, data-driven decision-making, and a results-oriented approach.
