Position Overview

Globalcybers is seeking a dedicated full-time Senior Environmental Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in stormwater management, environmental restoration, and site development initiatives. A comprehensive understanding of land use planning, industrial site rehabilitation, and brownfield redevelopment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of engineering designs and ensure compliance with all necessary permits and regulations.
  • Assist in the bidding and contract procurement processes, along with providing construction oversight and support.
  • Conduct fieldwork, quality assurance, quantity calculations, and payment application evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and proposals, manage project timelines, and oversee budgets.
  • Engage in effective communication with clients and regulatory bodies, participating in discussions and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to execute project tasks while also providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field, from an ABET-accredited institution. A current Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required, with the ability to obtain licensing in the relevant states within three months. Candidates should have extensive experience in stormwater design, environmental remediation, and site development, along with strong project management skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD design software, particularly Civil 3D, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential. The role demands excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are also necessary, along with the capability to perform physical tasks in various environments.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in industrial stormwater or wastewater design, utility design, Civil 3D grading, and construction management is advantageous. Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, as well as a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with a current refresher, is beneficial.
