About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Professional to enhance our dynamic workforce.

Our extensive range of engineering and environmental services offers professionals the chance to engage in collaborative project teams. You will partner with engineers and scientists on various technical projects and environmental initiatives for clients in public, private, and industrial sectors. This role is ideal for a skilled individual eager to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to innovative projects, including compliance for stormwater and wastewater, solid waste facility management, and soil and groundwater monitoring programs. This position presents an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established consulting firm that caters to a diverse clientele with complex business requirements.

Compensation: $32 to $40 hourly. The role involves approximately 25% fieldwork and 75% office/hybrid work, with flexible scheduling options.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or related fields
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in environmental roles
  • Strong analytical, data assessment, and organizational skills
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication abilities
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring effective communication with clients and colleagues
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour refresher
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field collection of environmental samples (air, water, stormwater, wastewater, soil)
  • Prepare routine regulatory reports for stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous waste, and air permit compliance
  • Develop environmental management plans addressing stormwater pollution prevention, spill prevention, and solid waste operations
  • Perform inspections and audits for environmental compliance
  • Support various environmental engineering tasks related to remedial system design and construction
  • Assist in the evaluation and permitting of environmental projects
  • Travel to project sites as required
  • Represent PBS in a professional manner, both internally and externally
