Position Overview

MacKay Sposito is in search of a Senior Survey Project Manager to enhance our surveying division. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, land surveyors, planners, architects, and environmental specialists, on a variety of projects within the energy, land development, and public infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys to determine legal property boundaries based on official deeds and titles.
  • Create Topographic Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Short Plats, Subdivision Plats, and Record of Survey documents.
  • Perform construction staking calculations, liaise with contractors, and ensure quality assurance on staking tasks.
  • Draft property boundary descriptions for legal documentation.
  • Research and formulate work plans for survey assignments.
  • Coordinate with survey teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Stay updated on relevant local, state, and federal laws affecting survey operations.
  • Oversee survey projects, manage budgets, and review related invoices.
  • Prepare scope and fee proposals for surveying services.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing survey projects in Washington and/or Oregon is essential.
  • LSIT license is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in survey project management.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center is necessary.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, including scoping, estimating, and invoicing.
  • Experience in boundary resolutions, topographic surveys, ALTA Surveys, subdivision plats, and construction staking calculations.
  • Ability to supervise and manage field crews effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with a capacity for mentoring technical staff.
  • A highly motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail.
