Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an accomplished Integrated Product Team (IPT) Senior Principal Chief Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will spearhead a multidisciplinary engineering team, typically comprising more than five members, for projects of low to medium risk. This role involves collaboration with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by high expectations and diverse assignments, demonstrating self-motivation, exceptional organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Direct and oversee cross-functional engineering teams throughout the proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery stages of product development.
  • Assist in proposal formulation and new program acquisition initiatives.
  • Interpret work statements assigned by program leadership.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts.
  • Collaborate with functional departments to ensure adequate team staffing.
  • Engage with suppliers to articulate project requirements effectively.
  • Provide updates to internal and customer leadership regarding project progress.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a STEM-related field with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with at least 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
  • Experience in a leadership role such as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead or Technical Lead, demonstrating team-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in a collaborative environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of Design, Manufacturing, or Testing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing project schedules.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Active and current Top-Secret government clearance.

Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600

This role is contingent upon the ability to acquire and maintain a minimum Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
