VP Business Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP Business Development to lead our business development and sales activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve corporate growth goals, managing business development and sales teams, and driving sales, revenue, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate growth goals.
- Manage and develop assigned teams of business development and sales personnel.
- Direct the development and execution of business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes.
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed customer base expansion.
- Manage bid/no bid decisions, proposal development, and capture of opportunities.
- Meet with key customers to develop and maintain relationships.
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in capturing leads and promoting sales opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote product sales.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Five to ten years of related managerial experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and/or boards of directors.
The location is flexible, but it is desirable to be in proximity to the assigned AP business unit and/or key customers. U.S. Northeast preferred. Travel will be required to support the business unit and customer demands.
