  1. Design and Development of BI Frameworks:

    5. Demonstrate proficiency in DAX, Power Query, SQL, and the graphical design of Power BI to craft intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  2. Project Management and Team Collaboration:
    1. Oversee project timelines, priorities, and deliverables utilizing your expertise.
    2. Engage with various departments to successfully complete cross-functional projects.
    3. Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively discuss requirements with stakeholders.
    4. Act as a Best Practices resource for BI initiatives within the organization.
    5. Conduct training and user-group sessions on contemporary BI tools and methodologies.
    6. Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices in BI development.
  3. Administration and Documentation:
    1. Monitor and manage Power BI service capacities.
    2. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize BI solutions (reports, cubes, and semantic models) to ensure peak performance and reliability.
    3. Define BI framework models, semantic layers, and metadata repositories to support data governance and administration.
    4. Document contents within a data warehouse and metadata storage.
    5. Serve as the escalation point for Power BI-related challenges.
    6. Create technical documentation for BI tools.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in designing and developing business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Strong command of SQL, SSAS/AAS tabular modeling, DAX, Power BI, Paginated Reports, Power BI Gateway, Service, and Security.
  • Experience with Azure-based BI solutions, including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Blob Storage & Data Lakes.
  • Familiarity with Power BI Services, Admin Portal, and capacity governance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; self-motivated to resolve issues and work cooperatively with team members.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL development and data integration.
  • Deep understanding of multidimensional and tabular data modeling concepts using SSAS.
  • Experience in crafting interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience with PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience coding in Python.
  • Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
