Job Title: Vice President for Strategy and Research

The Center for Global Development (CGD) is a leading non-profit policy research organization dedicated to addressing the complex challenges of global development. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President for Strategy and Research to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for CGD, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Lead a research process that produces high-impact, evidence-based products, including reports, briefs, and policy recommendations.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to drive organizational innovation and growth, leveraging expertise in global development and policy.
  • Manage partnerships with funders, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to advance CGD's research agenda.
  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to elevate CGD's public profile and promote its research and ideas.
  • Provide thought leadership on key issues in global development, including poverty reduction, economic growth, and human well-being.
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as economics, international relations, or public policy.
  • Proven track record of leading research teams and producing high-impact publications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $275,000 - $300,000, commensurate with education, skillset, and experience.
