The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a leading non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization dedicated to providing strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision-makers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Research Associate to join our China Power Project team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on Chinese foreign and security policy, as well as U.S.-China relations and cross-Strait issues.
- Develop and write high-quality content for the China Power website and other publications.
- Curate complex datasets and provide research and writing support to the Program Director and Fellow.
- Assist in writing grant proposals and managing junior staff and interns.
- Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a PhD in a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of issues concerning Chinese foreign and security policy and international relations.
- Advanced proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and general-purpose statistical software (e.g. STATA, R, SPSS) is preferred.
CSIS offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment, with a competitive salary range of $65,000-$105,000 commensurate with experience. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
