Job Summary

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and managing a DevSecOps process to connect CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Gitlab, Nexus Repo, and Checkmarx.

Key Responsibilities
  • DevSecOps Process Management: Design, implement, and maintain a DevSecOps process to ensure seamless integration of CI/CD pipelines with various tools.
  • API and Microservices Development: Develop and deploy APIs and microservices that make up important business application software, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Business Logic Integration: Integrate business logic with various applications and systems, including RDBMS, File System, Hive, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake, Azure Event Grid, Azure Function, Azure Event Hub, etc.
  • Cloud Platform Deployment: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure for automated environments, leveraging cloud platforms such as Kubernetes, PCF, GCP, Azure, and AWS.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and provide technical guidance and support.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience with at least one JavaScript framework (Angular 8 or above, ReactJS, VueJS, etc.)
  • 8+ years of program management experience and driving large engagements
  • 8+ years of hands-on REST services expertise, ideally using Java/Kotlin and SpringBoot
  • 5+ years of expertise with cloud platform deployment (Kubernetes, PCF, GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • 5+ years of experience working with databases like Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB
  • Experience with Big Data platforms, tools, and technologies developed over the past 3 years, such as PySpark, Hive, Databricks, and Kafka
  • Experience managing software development projects
  • Experience with TDD in both front-end and back-end technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Knowledge of software release management tools (Pivotal Tracker, JIRA, Rally)
  • Excellent conflict resolution, prioritization, and critical thinking abilities
