Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for the OpenShift platform, ensuring stability and performance across various business units.
  • Engage in dedicated maintenance activities to uphold service reliability for critical applications.
  • Participate in automation initiatives to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement remediation strategies.
  • Oversee production support workflows, including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Manage Jira backlog for production incidents and change requests.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins and BitBucket.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Familiarity with Ansible for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of incident and change management processes.
  • Possession of a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is advantageous.
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate (DCA), Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA), or Certified Kubernetes Operator (CKO) are also beneficial.

Work Environment:
  • This is a contract position with a duration of 6+ months, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.
  • The role requires on-site presence with a hybrid work schedule, and remote work is not an option.
  • Work hours will be on a rotational basis within a 24/7 team, specifically from Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM Eastern Time.
