About the Position:

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for all aspects of mechanical design for assigned projects. This position will utilize expert knowledge and skills in engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing projects. Projects assigned to the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer are generally larger and more complex in nature. This role is responsible for identifying and providing solutions to complex mechanical design problems. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will initiate conceptual designs subject to review and approval of the Mechanical Engineer Team Lead, Engineering Manager, and Preconstruction Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Develop and implement customized solutions to clients' facility challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying knowledge to improve design and delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
