Senior Power Systems Engineer

Overview: A prominent player in the chemical production sector is in search of a Senior Power Systems Engineer with a focus on Power Supply solutions to enhance their engineering team. The organization is committed to delivering groundbreaking technologies that improve daily living.

Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a consistent power supply at the facility. This position entails providing expert technical guidance in electrical engineering, overseeing power supply apparatus, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both capital and operational projects associated with power supply systems.
  • Collaborate with service providers for optimal performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of power distribution networks, including troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Administer emergency power generators and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
  • Facilitate communication with utility providers and conduct power billing analysis.
  • Maintain electrical infrastructure and refresh power supply models as necessary.
  • Coordinate the repair and upkeep of electrical machinery.
  • Provide power supply expertise to support capital initiatives.
  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of production facilities.
  • Promote ongoing enhancements in safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience in power utility or high-energy sectors.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in power supply and electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Experience with power distribution systems and associated equipment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with software such as ETAP, DIGSI, WinCC, SICAM, SIGRA, PI, EXCEL-PI DataLink, and COMOS.
