Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Assistant II to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Ministry Director and assisting with the overall management of our personnel function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate employment records and ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations.
  • Administer policy as directed by Divisional Headquarters and complete specific routine tasks.
  • Provide support to the Kroc Center's Human Resources Department, including maintaining efficient processes and timely communications.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including coordinating interviews and ensuring new hires are properly onboarded.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees, management, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the HR Ministry Director to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • At least two years of progressive administrative experience, preferably in the HR field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in English, orally and in writing.
  • Superior clerical and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
