Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Resources For Human Development. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials to ensure a smooth and efficient dental care delivery process.
- Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, including preparing dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during exams and procedures.
- Collect and record patient health information thoroughly in the electronic health record.
- Manage patients and educate them on all procedures during dental treatment.
- Maintain dental supplies inventory and ensure that all operatory areas are fully stocked.
- Print x-rays as needed and complete lab work on time.
- Coordinate outgoing and incoming lab cases and perform DUWL disinfection procedures weekly.
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- At least three years of experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a similar setting.
- Current CPR certification and Hep B Vaccination.
- Must be fully trained and competent in digital x-ray and electronic health record software programs.
- Must comply with all OSHA and CDC requirements.
The Dental Assistant will work in a fast-paced dental environment, exposed to various hazards and atmospheric conditions, including loud noises, mists, and gases. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and stand for long periods.
