Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

At YouthBuild Philadelphia, we are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee documentation, communication, and compliance. This role will also involve assisting in the development and updating of HR policies and procedures, as well as administering employee benefits through the full process cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate employee documentation, communication, and compliance
  • Assist in the development and updating of HR policies and procedures
  • Administer employee benefits through the full process cycle
  • Oversee day-to-day processes for employee leaves of absence, short-term disability, FMLA requests, COBRA administration, worker's compensation claims, PTO issues, unemployment claims, and other employee leaves issues
  • Approve invoices from benefit providers, ensuring appropriate calculation of premiums are being charged
  • Maintain employee files and HRIS system
  • Act as point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, respond to general inquiries from outside vendors
  • Lead, design and manage the organization's wellness events
  • Track employee required onboarding documentation and complete follow-ups to ensure all necessary information is received by deadline
  • Post job openings on various platforms and screen resumes
  • Participate in employment fairs, conduct initial interviews and coordinate the interview process
  • Create and facilitate new employee orientation sessions and assist in employee onboarding
  • Manage the Human Resources Interns as needed
  • Coordinate and assist with the process of rewriting and updating job descriptions as necessary

Salary Range:

New YouthBuild coordinator level staff can expect a starting salary of between $46,000 - $60,500 based on years of experience, education, and certifications, if applicable.
