Position Overview

Program Summary

USCRI operates a Reception and Placement (R&P) program nationwide, collaborating with the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) within the U.S. Department of State. This program is designed to assist newly resettled refugees in achieving early economic independence and successfully integrating into American society. The Compliance Program Officer will act as a technical advisor to network offices, focusing on the follow-up of findings and recommendations from monitoring assessments conducted by PRM or USCRI, ensuring adherence to grant stipulations and excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze findings and recommendations from monitoring reports by PRM and USCRI, aiding network offices in formulating action plans.
  • Oversee the execution and completion of these action plans, including desk monitoring of network offices and providing necessary training.
  • Address grievances related to network offices, ensuring appropriate measures are taken and reporting to PRM as needed.
  • Develop and maintain outreach materials and guides for the USCRI network, leading collaborative calls and facilitating the exchange of best practices.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with partner organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders, keeping abreast of practices, innovations, and challenges within USCRI's resettlement network.
  • Represent USCRI in relevant working groups and meetings with U.S. Government and technical assistance providers.
  • Travel to network offices to provide technical support and monitor compliance as required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of two years of experience in a related area, or a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in refugee-serving programs or related initiatives aimed at enhancing access to vital resources for immigrants and underserved populations, along with demonstrated knowledge of immigrant needs and services.
  • Experience in providing training and technical assistance is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently, demonstrating high self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication with USCRI affiliates, national partners, and funders.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically several times a year.

Training Requirements

  • Successful completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training.
  • Engagement in additional training as identified by supervisors or Human Resources.
