Key Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives that analyze current government system-support supply chains, encompassing inventory management, maintenance, and distribution.
  • Advise on logistics strategies and supply chain material management policies, focusing on inventory management processes and performance evaluation.
  • Evaluate asset management systems for DAF, DoN, and DLA, including data structure and interface requirements, to facilitate effective end-to-end asset management for all F-35 assets.
  • Enhance automation in asset management to boost physical inventory efficiency and accuracy through advanced technology.
  • Maximize the use of embedded remote monitoring technology to improve visibility and accountability of in-transit assets.
  • Strengthen analytic capabilities for sustainment to optimize resource allocation and provide recommendations on inventory pooling across the DoD/services.
  • Assess procurement implications concerning asset management systems and processes.
  • Assist in formulating a strategic plan and roadmap, with recommendations for achieving full transition while emphasizing strategic posture and platform availability.
  • Ensure Asset Visibility for all F-35 supply components through an approved DoD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
  • Identify existing policies and processes for cataloging and provisioning commodities and equipment.
  • Support efforts to rectify audit findings and material weaknesses in Inventory, Operating Material & Supplies, and Requisitioning.
  • Provide administrative and technical writing assistance for the maintenance and updates of DoD and other government agency supply chain policies.
  • Deliver program management support, conduct data analysis, and prepare briefings and documents for all levels of DoD leadership while conducting research in support of logistics strategy and supply chain initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in DoD property management, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling, networking, scheduling, and inventory optimization systems to enhance supply and inventory management policies.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to effectively engage with senior executives from both government and industry.
  • Capacity to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • This position necessitates an active security clearance at the Secret level.

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Property or Asset Management, or Logistics is preferred.
  • Prior experience in military or DoD civilian/contractor roles.
  • Ability to create mathematical models and simulations of business operations.
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Property Accountability System and Government APSRs.
  • Experience with F-35 Joint Strike Fighter sustainment and global spares pool supply chain operations.
