Position Overview

LMI is in search of a proficient Asset and Property Management Consultant to engage in targeted data administration, including data entry into the Government Furnished Property Module and the Accountable Property System of Record. This role encompasses analytical and technical tasks that necessitate a thorough understanding of: (1) the principles and theories surrounding government property management; (2) governance, processes, and procedures of the Global Spares Pool; and (3) the development and analysis of strategies for intricate data and system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in projects that analyze current government system-support supply chains, including inventory management, maintenance, and distribution.
  • Advise on logistics strategies and supply chain material management policies, focusing on inventory management processes at both wholesale and retail levels.
  • Evaluate asset management systems of the DAF, DoN, and DLA, including data structure and interface requirements, to facilitate effective end-to-end asset management of all F-35 assets.
  • Enhance automation in asset management to boost inventory efficiency and accuracy through advanced technologies.
  • Optimize the use of embedded remote monitoring technologies in both CONUS and deployed assets to improve visibility and accountability during transit.
  • Strengthen sustainment analytic capabilities to enable efficient resource allocation planning and provide insights on inventory pooling and cross-leveling across the DoD/services.
  • Assess procurement implications concerning asset management systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the development of a strategic plan and roadmap, offering recommendations for achieving full transition while emphasizing strategic posture and platform availability.
  • Ensure Asset Visibility for all F-35 supply components through an approved DoD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
  • Identify existing policies, guidance, and processes related to the cataloging and provisioning of commodities and equipment.
  • Support efforts to rectify audit findings and material weaknesses in Inventory, Operating Material & Supplies, and Requisitioning.
  • Provide administrative and technical writing assistance for the maintenance and updates of DoD and other government agency supply chain policies.
  • Deliver program management support, conduct data analysis, prepare briefings and documentation for various levels of DoD leadership, and perform research in support of DoD logistics strategies and supply chain initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in DoD property management, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling, networking, scheduling, and inventory optimization systems to support the development of supply and inventory management policies.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to interact effectively with senior executives from both government and industry.
  • Capability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • This position requires an active security clearance at the Secret level.

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Property or Asset Management, or Logistics is preferred.
  • Previous military or DoD civilian/contractor experience.
  • Ability to create mathematical models and simulations of business operations.
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Property Accountability System and Government APSRs.
  • Experience with F-35 Joint Strike Fighter sustainment and global spares pool supply chain operations and IT systems of record.
