The Facilities Maintenance Lead will undertake advanced supervisory responsibilities, overseeing daily departmental performance and managing all maintenance personnel. This role is essential in ensuring that all documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner. The Lead will uphold a safe working environment, monitoring compliance with necessary protocols while supervising the installation, operation, maintenance, and modification of plant facilities and equipment. This includes designing or adapting specialized production machinery and maintaining oversight of manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and safety while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and train staff in the maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

· Assist team members in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and guide them in the disassembly, assembly, and installation of industrial machinery during repairs or upgrades.

· Communicate company policies to staff and enforce safety regulations effectively.

· Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance shop and departmental efficiency.

· Develop and implement strategies to motivate team members towards achieving organizational objectives.

· Conduct specialized training sessions for staff on specific machinery.

· Analyze and resolve issues related to equipment repairs and modifications, providing support to team members and contractors as needed.

· Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for staff and external contractors, adjusting work procedures to align with project timelines.

· Recommend enhancements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, collaborating with management and supervisors to coordinate departmental activities related to maintenance and construction projects.

· Plan and budget for facility modifications, including cost estimations, bid documentation, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.

Additional Duties:

· Schedule personnel and project teams, including external contractors.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

· Experience in the Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical sectors.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Education & Experience:

Typically requires four or more years of relevant work experience, including three years in the Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical sectors, along with a four-year degree from an accredited institution.
