Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the installation, upkeep, repair, and coordination of services for machinery, equipment, company vehicles, physical structures, and electrical systems at our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Examine and test machinery and equipment to verify proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and office fixtures, ensuring all systems are operational and meet regulatory standards.
  • Manage and execute repairs and maintenance of the physical structures of Nice North America offices, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in relocating office furniture and equipment as necessary, ensuring careful handling of items.
  • Respond to facilities-related emergencies swiftly to minimize disruption and maintain safety.
  • Follow documented procedures for processing non-inventory purchase orders (POs), maintaining accurate records and inventory control.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift and/or pallet jack as required.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and standards, contributing to a compliant maintenance operation.
  • Comply with OSHA standards and guidelines during work activities.
  • Complete OSHA training as mandated.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and manage spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or building maintenance is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with building systems, maintenance protocols, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and departmental policies.
  • Capability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various building systems and machinery.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with colleagues and documentation.
  • Analytical skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work with urgency.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and establish goals and objectives.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
