Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Facilities General Maintenance Worker to join our operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for a range of tasks related to the upkeep and repair of buildings, facilities, and various equipment. This role may involve performing tasks such as lock repairs, woodworking, electrical work, painting, and HVAC services, along with other routine maintenance duties necessary for the effective operation of our facilities.

Core Duties Include:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, installing, disassembling, and overhauling machinery and equipment based on work orders or verbal directives.
  • Providing electrical, mechanical, and technical support to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Monitoring and maintaining building electrical systems, including tubes, fixtures, switches, and outlets; assisting licensed electricians with non-technical repairs as needed.
  • Overseeing the performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; executing standard repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Managing plumbing systems, including repairing leaks, clearing blockages, and assisting licensed plumbers when necessary.
  • Performing carpentry tasks such as painting, texturing, and hardware installation.
  • Replacing various components including bearings, motors, pumps, and electrical switches.
  • Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and track repairs.
  • Executing basic welding and metalwork tasks.
  • Maintaining proper documentation for all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams on various projects.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Operating lifts, tractors, and vehicles as required for job tasks.
  • Participating in training sessions and team meetings as necessary.
  • Following instructions from supervisors and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Technical Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and industrial systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
Physical Requirements

This position involves significant physical activity, including:

  • Reaching and grasping objects.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Heavy lifting and moving of equipment.

Protective equipment is required based on the tasks performed, and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
