Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Facilities General Maintenance Worker to join our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilities General Maintenance Worker is responsible for a range of tasks related to the upkeep and repair of facilities, equipment, and premises. This role may involve performing repairs on locks, engaging in woodworking, handling electrical work, painting, and maintaining heating and ventilation systems, among other routine maintenance duties.

This position requires technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, install, disassemble, or overhaul various complex equipment. The individual must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively, often with minimal supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, installing, disassembling, overhauling, and replacing machinery and equipment as per work orders or verbal instructions.
  • Providing electrical, mechanical, and technical support to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Monitoring and maintaining building electrical systems, including fixtures, switches, and outlets; assisting licensed electricians with non-technical repairs.
  • Overseeing the performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems; executing standard repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Performing plumbing maintenance, including fixing leaks and cleaning waste lines; assisting licensed plumbers as needed.
  • Carrying out carpentry tasks, painting, and installing doors and hardware.
  • Replacing various components such as bearings, motors, and electrical switches.
  • Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and procure necessary parts.
  • Executing basic welding and metalworking tasks.
  • Documenting all work activities and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams on various projects.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating lifts, tractors, and vehicles as required.
  • Participating in training and team meetings as necessary.
  • Following written and verbal instructions and performing other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license required.

This position involves working indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures and potential hazards. Protective equipment is required based on job tasks.
